Bashir takes new steps on Darfur
Jul 24 - Sudan's president calls for new peace efforts while the Justice Minister invites international checks on its ability to try alleged war criminals.
President Omar Hassan al-Bashir is visiting Darfur where the International Criminal Court has accused him of crimes including genocide during a five-year old conflict that has seen an estimated 200, 000 people killed and 2.5 million forced to flee their homes.
