Credit crisis hits 1-year mark

Jul. 31 - International markets remain on edge a full year after the credit crisis took hold amid turmoil in the American subprime mortgage market.

Access to credit remains limited and expensive a year after the credit crisis began. Just this week Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch announced billions of dollars in new write-offs.
