UN OKs Somalia force for 6 months

Aug 19 - The U.N. Security Council approved extended the African Union's force's stay in Somalia for another six months.

The vote came just one day after Somalia's government signed a peace deal.

"The result of the voting is as follows. The draft resolution received 15 votes in favor. The draft resolution has been adopted unanimously as Resolution 1831."
