Containing California's wildfires
Oct 15 - California firefighters took advantage of a break in fierce Santa Ana winds to attack wildfires burning near Los Angeles.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency in several counties. He says despite being cash-strapped, the state will spare no expense to extinguish the fires.
