Yemen devastated by floods
Oct 27 - Refugees airlifted to safety as Yemen floods leave around 100 dead or missing and thousands homeless.
Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh called for parliament to approve 100 million US dollars in emergency funding for rescue operations and to help rebuild areas affected by the most serious flooding in decades.
