IMF announces emergency financing
Oct 29 - The International Monetary Fund has approved short-term financing to help emerging market economies weather the global financial storm.
Available to a pre-approved group of countries with well-run economies, the package will allow a country to draw up to 5 times their usual borrowing quota from the fund.
