Gilead: focus on hepatitis treatment
Nov 19 - Gilead Sciences expects the market for drugs to treat hepatitis B and C to grow significantly in the coming years.
CEO John Martin, speaking at the Reuters Health Summit in New York on Wednesday, says hepatitis drugs are an "important are of focus for the next few years." Gilead is in "early clinical development" of a treatment for Hepatitis C but says it is too early to provide a timeline about when those products may be available.
