Prasugrel could be $1b drug

Nov. 20 - Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Sankyo says it's in the last stages of getting approval for its blood clot prevention drug Prasugrel from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

US CEO Joe Peroni, speaking at the Reuters Health Summit in New York on Thursday, said Prasugrel could eventually be a $1 billion drug because "this is a very big category and it's a very good product so I do think that we can achieve this level."
