EU blamed for BHP/Rio deal collapse
Nov 25 - But analysts say the economic conditions forced BHP Billiton to back away from the deal as Rio Tinto focusses on China.
The EU sought the sale of key iron and coal assets but BHP Billiton said it would not get a fair price in the current climate.
