Obama defends staffing choices

Nov. 26 - President-elect Barack Obama named former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker as chair of a new panel to advise him on stabilizing the financial markets.

With just fifty-five days before his inauguration, Obama pledged to have an economic plan ready for action to deal with the nation's financial crisis on his first day in office, telling the American people -- "Help is on the way."
