Dec 1 - A new solar-powered light installation called 'The Beacon' on London's Old Street aims to provide illumination on questions of human perception.
The six-metre experimental light installation produces its own electricity through a series of solar panels, including an innovative paving stone design embedded in mixture of resin and recycled glass.
When lit, the coloured plexiglass that adorns the installation creates an illusion that tells us much about the human brain, according to the University College London neuroscientist behind 'The Beacon'.
Reuters Technology Correspondent Matt Cowan reports.
