Dec 16 - Toyota is looking to cut billions in costs amid the worst car market in decades, suspending new factories and asking suppliers for lower prices.
The automaker has halted completion of a new plant in Mississippi indefinitely amid a steep fall in demand that saw November sales fall 34 percent, while those of the eco-friendly Prius plunged 48 percent.
