Rockets hit Israel from Lebanon
Jan 8 - The missiles which landed on northern Israel are the first from Lebanese territory since the Gaza Strip offensive began.
It was not immediately clear if the rockets were launched by Hezbollah guerrillas against whom Israel went to war in 2006 or by other Palestinian groups in Lebanon.
