Stars shine at People's Choice

Jan 8 - Stars from the worlds of television, film and music walked the red carpet at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Millions of fans voted online to choose their favorite entertainers in more than forty categories.

The latest Batman film "The Dark Knight" with late actor Heath Ledger swept the show by taking home five awards.

Queen Latifah hosted the event.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTRESS MARISA TOMEI ON HER ROLE IN "THE WRESTLER":

"Well, it was, it was probably the hardest film that I've ever shot. And it was, it was, really, and ultimately the most rewarding."

(SOUNDBITE) (English) AMERICAN IDOL JORDIN SPARKS:

"It's good. It's good! It's really exciting, I mean it's awesome because all the people are voting, so if you win, even if you're nominated it's like, it's awesome to know that everybody's voting for you. And they really like you, so it's good."
