Columbus A/S:Says vertical merger is to be between Columbus A/S and Columbus Danmark A/S.Says Columbus A/S is to be the continuing company.Says Columbus Danmark A/S, the 100 pct owned subsidiary, to be the discontinuing company.Says takes over all assets and liabilities in Columbus Danmark A/S.Says merger shall have effect as from 1 Jan 2014 from which point in time the discontinuing company’s assets and liabilities financially shall be deemed as transferred to Columbus A/S.

Microsoft Corp:Says restructuring plan to simplify its operations and align the recently acquired Nokia Devices and Services business with the company's overall strategy.These steps will result in the elimination of up to 18,000 positions over the next year.Of the total, about 12,500 professional and factory positions will be eliminated through synergies and strategic alignment of the Nokia Devices and Services business acquired by Microsoft on April 25.Expects to incur pre-tax charges of $1.1 to $1.6 bln over the next four quarters, including $750 to $800 mln for severance and related benefit costs, and $350 to $800 mln of asset-related charges.
