Syniverse Technologies Inc Completes Acquisition Of MACH

Syniverse Technologies Inc announced that it has completed its acquisition of MACH for approximately EUR550 million. The combined company now serves more than 1,500 mobile service providers, enterprises, ISPs and app providers in nearly 200 countries, offering a full suite of advanced solutions that help Syniverse`s customers ensure seamless, high-quality end-user experiences in an increasingly complex mobile ecosystem. The transaction is expected to be accretive within a year. Deutsche Bank acted as sole M&A adviser, and Debevoise & Plimpton, Latham & Watkins, and Shearman & Sterling acted as legal advisers to Syniverse in connection with the transaction. Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs provided debt financing for the transaction.

Bce Inc Receives Regulatory Approval For Astral Media Inc Bid-Reuters

Reuters reported that Canada's broadcast regulator has approved a CAD3 billion ($2.86 billion) bid by Bce Inc to take over Astral Media Inc. The regulator, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, had initially rejected the deal last year, saying it would make BCE far too dominant. BCE and Astral subsequently revised their agreement and promised to divest 11 television channels and 10 radio stations.

TeliaSonera AB Takes Over Fiber Network in Municipality of Lindesberg, Sweden-SIX

SIX reported that TeliaSonera AB has taken over the fiber network in the municipality of Lindesberg. The acquired network will be used as basis for a further expansion of an open net in the municipality. The investment also includes expansion of 4G network in Lindesberg so that the coverage reaches the current GSM-network level.

Verizon Communications Inc Bids For Canada's Wind, Talks With Mobilicity-Reuters

Reuters reported that Verizon Communications Inc has offered to buy Canadian telecommunications startup Wind Mobile and is also in talks with rival startup Mobilicity over a potential deal, according to sources familiar with the situation. Verizon came forward with a tentative offer for Wind last week with an offer of $600 million to $800 million, with more specific pricing pending due diligence, said one source familiar with the situation. Verizon has also approached rival Canadian startup Mobilicity and may be interested in acquiring the struggling wireless player, said another source familiar with the matter.

Tech Mahindra Ltd Completes Merger Of Satyam Computer Services Ltd-DJ

Dow Jones reported that Tech Mahindra Ltd said it has completed the merger of associate Satyam Computer Services Ltd. with itself to create software outsourcing company. The combined entity, which will retain the Tech Mahindra Ltd. brand, will have $2.7 billion in revenue, 84,000 technology professionals, and 540 customers in 46 countries, it said in a statement. The boards of both companies approved the merger in March 2012.

Citic Telecom International Holdings Ltd announced that further announcement of the Company dated February 18, 2013 and the circular of the Company dated March 21, 2013 in relation to the Company’s acquisition of a total of 79% interest in Companhia de Telecomunicações de Macau, S.A.R.L. (CTM), the Board announced that all the conditions of the acquisitions were fulfilled and the completion of the acquisitions took place on June 20, 2013.

NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORP To Buy US-Based IT Security Services Co For JPY20 Billion-DJ

Dow Jones reported that according to Nikkei, NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORP will purchase Nebraska-based IT security firm Solutionary Inc. for around JPY20 billion. Solutionary was established in 2000 and specializes in network security. The deal is expected to be concluded by the end of September.
