Kemira Oyj to Establish Multifunction Business Service Center in Poland
Kemira Oyj announced that the Company plans to establish a multifunction Business Service Center in Gdansk, Poland to serve all of Kemira's businesses in the EMEA region. The scope of the new center is planned to include transactional activities of certain support functions. Once fully implemented, the annual cost savings target for the planned support functions reorganization in EMEA is expected to be close to EUR 10 million. The related non-recurring restructuring charges are expected to amount approximately EUR 20 million. The plan to establish a Business Service Center impacts up to 210 current positions in the EMEA region, of which up to 80 are in Finland. Kemira will initiate co-determination negotiations in the countries where the support functions in scope have operations according to each country's local legislation.

Saudi Basic Industries Corp To Set Up Centres In Bangalore, Shanghai-Financial Express
Financial Express reported that Saudi Basic Industries Corp will launch its new centres in Bangalore, India and Shanghai, China to host around 500 professionals, the Company said in a statement. Two other new centres will be based in Saudi Arabia itself and will take the total number of the Company's research facilities around the world to 18.
Saudi Basic Industries Corp Subsidiary Signs EPC Contract for New Storage, Handling and Shipping Terminal with China National Chemical Engineering Co Ltd
Saudi Basic Industries Corp announced that its subsidiary, Jubail Chemicals Storage and Services Company (JCSSC), has awarded Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) a contract for a new storage, handling and shipping terminal at King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail to China National Chemical Engineering Co Ltd (CNCEC). The total investment is estimated to be USD 400 million. JCSSC is a joint venture in which SABIC holds 75% and Vopak 25%. The plan is to finance the project from the parties own resources as well as through external funds. Once commissioned early 2015, the storage capacity of the terminal will be approximately 250,000 cubic meters. The first phase will consist of around 40 commodity and specialty chemical storage tanks, complete with truck handling and ship loading facilities for five berths.
