China Chengtong Development Group Ltd announced that based on the preliminary review of the Company's unaudited financial information for the five months ended May 31, 2013, it is likely that the Company will record a consolidated loss for the first half of 2013 or at least a substantial decrease in consolidated profit for the first half of 2013 as compared with the consolidated profit recorded for the corresponding period in 2012. The financial performance of the Company during the first half of 2013 was mainly affected by the following factors: (i) it is likely that the bulk commodity trade segment will record a loss during the period; and (ii) the finance costs increased substantially during the period.
