Huhtamaki Oyj Considers Closing Viul Plant in Norway; to Reorganize Foodservice Plastics Unit in Alf, Germany and Carry out Strategic Review of Foodservice Plastics Unit in Italy

Huhtamaki Oyj announced that employee cooperation procedures have been initiated within the Company's Foodservice unit in Viul, Norway, with a view to close the plant. The potential closure of the Viul plant in Norway is planned to take place during the third quarter of 2013 and would affect approximately 55 people. In addition the Foodservice plastics unit in Alf, Germany, is being reorganized to improve the segment's competitiveness and focus on supporting its core businesses. The reorganization will result in certain asset write-offs and it is expected to affect some employees. Furthermore, a strategic review has been initiated in the Company's Foodservice plastics unit in Italy. The unit is loss making.

Master-Pack Group Bhd Announces Voluntary Dissolution Of Indirect Wholly-Owned Subsidiary; Declares Interim Dividend

Master-Pack Group Bhd announced that Master-Pack Sdn Bhd, its wholly-owned subsidiary has, on May 31, 2013 decided to voluntarily dissolve its wholly-owned subsidiary, Master-Pack Vietnam Company Limited (MP Vietnam). MP Vietnam was incorporated in on August 29, 2011 with a charter capital of USD 300,000.00 only. MP Vietnam was set-up to develop and expand the Group’s packaging business in Vietnam. The intended principal activities of MP Vietnam were trading and manufacturing of packaging products. Currently, MP Vietnam is dormant. MP Vietnam is not a major subsidiary of Master as defined in Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The Liquidation is not subject to shareholders’ approval but subject to the approval of the regulatory in Vietnam. The Company also announced that an interim dividend of 1% less income tax of 25% for the financial year ending December 31, 2013 amounting to MYR372,151.12 is payable on June 26, 2013.

The Pack Corp to Dissolve Subsidiary

The Pack Corp announced that it has decided to dissolve its Osaka-based wholly owned subsidiary, which engages in the production and sale of fibre products, effective March 31, 2014.
