Alstom SA:Alstom Transport to open new manufacturing line dedicated to trams in Taubate, Brazil, operational in beginning of 2015.New manufacturing line, based at existing hydro manufacturing site in Taubate, to address Brazilian and Latin American markets.Investment represents about 15 mln euros and covers area of 16,000 square meters.

Alstom SA:Inaugurates its first hydropower global technology center (GTC) in Latin America in Taubate -Sao Paulo State.It will include test rig for turbine scale models.It will conduct work on turbines, generators, control, hydro-mechanical equipment and balance-of-plant, as well as services for hydro plants.
