United Parcel Service Inc:Says $17.5 mln expansion of delivery center in Menifee, Calif., to handle increased shipping volume from customers throughout region.The expansion, which more than doubles existing space, will open in late Sept.In addition to expedited package processing capability supported by advanced technology and conveyor systems, the facility will have expanded vehicle parking and enlarged UPS Customer Center.

United Parcel Service Inc:Expands plan in Brazil to increase territorial coverage, improve time in transit and quality in solutions it offers its customers.Expansion in state of São Paulo includes opening of nine new operating facilities, which will increase company's country-wide network by 78 percent to reach more than 200 cities.Nine operating locations will be strategically situated in the cities of São Carlos, Ribeirão Preto, Franca, Bauru, São José dos Campos, São José do Rio Preto, Botucatu, Araçatuba and Presidente Prudente, and are set to be completed by May 2015.Company will also increase size of its ground fleet to 115 vehicles, adding routes to Santos, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba, Marilia and Campinas, allowing UPS to extend its services by two additional hours to place and pick up orders.

Panalpina WeltTransport Holding AG:Says it will automatically calculate all customers' emissions from the transport services they use based on the reporting standard EN 16258.Says recently introduced European standard includes upstream emissions from fuel production, other greenhouse gases besides CO2 and energy consumption.Says its CO2 calculation tool "EcoTransIT World" will run more accurate reports for customers so they can develop effective strategies to reduce the environmental impact of their global transport chains.
