Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras:Says that Libra Consortium has finished drilling of the well, located in northeastern part of the block in Bacia de Santos, confirming presence of high quality oil in reservoirs of good productivity.Says oil column is about 301 meters deep.Says it has concluded drilling of six wells in Libra oil field (five in consortium) and the seventh well is currently being drilled.Says Libra consortium is composed of Petrobras (operator with a 40 percent stake), Shell (20 percent), Total (20 percent), CNPC (10 percent) and CNOOC (10 percent), Pre-Sal Petroleo SA is the contract manager.
Statoil ASA:Says a new battery storage solution for offshore wind energy will be piloted in the Hywind pilot park off the coast of Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.Statoil will install a 1MWh Lithium battery based storage pilot system in late 2018.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras:Says has started Sepia Early Production System in Santos Basin with output of 20,000 bopd during test period.Says system will collect technical information on reservoirs' behavior and oil flow in the subsea lines, to support development of definitive production system that is expected to start operations in the area in 2020.
Statoil ASA:Norwegian Petroleum Directorate says Statoil has made a small gas discovery in the North Sea, with reserves seen at between 1 million - 2 million standard cubic metres-Reuters.Statoil is the operator of the license, called PL104, with a stake of 49.3 percent.
