Statoil ASA:Says a new battery storage solution for offshore wind energy will be piloted in the Hywind pilot park off the coast of Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.Statoil will install a 1MWh Lithium battery based storage pilot system in late 2018.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras:Says has started Sepia Early Production System in Santos Basin with output of 20,000 bopd during test period.Says system will collect technical information on reservoirs' behavior and oil flow in the subsea lines, to support development of definitive production system that is expected to start operations in the area in 2020.
Statoil ASA:Norwegian Petroleum Directorate says Statoil has made a small gas discovery in the North Sea, with reserves seen at between 1 million - 2 million standard cubic metres-Reuters.Statoil is the operator of the license, called PL104, with a stake of 49.3 percent.
Eni SpA:Completes the authorization process for the development of Zohr gas field.Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources approves that Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) grants Eni the Zohr Development Lease, which allows for the development of the gas field, located in the Shorouk Concession, offshore Egypt.Development plan envisages the start of production by the end of 2017, two years after the discovery, with a progressive ramp up until reaching a volume of about 75 million standard cubic meters of gas per day (equivalent to about 500,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day) by 2019.
Total SA:Says it has started-up production from the Laggan and Tormore gas and condensate fields, located in 600 meters of water in the West of Shetland area.The fields will produce 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d).
Total SA:Starts up Moho Phase 1B deep offshore project in the Republic of the Congo.Project has production capacity of 40,000 barrels oil equivalent per day.
Statoil ASA:Says in a statement announcing it had applied for acreage that it aims to drill for oil and gas in the Arctic Barents Sea in 2017-Reuters.Is expected to announce the outcome of the 23rd licencing round on the country's continental shelf by mid-2016.
Novatek OAO:Announces the start of commercial production at the Yarudeyskoye oil field.Says the field is expected to rapidly reach its planned daily production level of around 3.5 million tonnes of crude oil per year.He Yarudeyskoye oil field is developed by Yargeo, a joint venture between Novatek (51 percent) and Nefte Petroleum Limited (49 percent).
Eni SpA:Signs production sharing contract for development of Amoca, Mizton and Tecoalli oil fields in offshore Mexico- Reuters.Awarded rights to develop the fields on Sept. 30.Combined oil volumes in place about 800 million barrels of oil and 480 billion cubic feet of gas.
