NK Lukoil OAO Buys OMV AG's Lubricants Business-Interfax
Interfax reported that NK Lukoil OAO (Lukoil) has purchased Austrian company OMV AG's lubricants business. The Russian oil producer will take over the lubricants business in nine European countries, a blending plant in Austria and the 'Bixxol' brand name. The sale is expected to be closed at the end of 2013 following approval by the competition authorities. Both companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Videocon Industries Ltd Divests Mozambique Offshore Assets To ONGC Videsh Ltd And Oil India Ltd
Videocon Industries Ltd announced that its wholly-owned Mauritius based subsidiary Videocon Mauritius Energy Ltd has executed a Share sale and purchase agreement (the SSPA) with ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) and Oil India Ltd (OIL) for sale of 100% stake in Videocon Mozambique Rovuma 1 Ltd (VMRL) for a consideration of USD2.475 Billion (the Transaction). VMRL holds 10% participating interest in Offshore area 1 in Rovuma Basin in Mozambique.
Novatek OAO Increases Stake In Nortgas To 50%
OAO Novatek announced that its equity stake in ZAO Nortgas (Nortgas) increased from 49% to 50% as a result of an additional issue of shares. The per share purchase price of the additional stake is in line with the price paid for the 49% stake in Nortgas acquired earlier.
NK Rosneft' OAO Buys Itera and Gas Assets of AK Alrosa OAO-Interfax
Interfax reported that NK Rosneft' OAO focuses on gas business development, buys Itera and gas assets of AK Alrosa OAO, President of NK Rosneft' OAO, Mr. Igor Sechin, said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 21, 2013. Mr. Sechin also said that NK Rosneft' OAO's top priority is internal gas market.
Hess Corp and Newfield Exploration Co To Launch Sale Of $3 Billion Of Asian Assets; Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Others Are Among Probable Bidders-Reuters
Reuters reported that Hess Corp and Newfield Exploration Co have launched two separate auctions to sell part of their Asian oil and gas field stakes that have a combined value of about $3 billion. KUFPEC, a unit of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Premier Oil, Pertamina Persero PT, and PTT Exploration and Production PCL are among companies considering making bids for the assets. KrisEnergy Holdings Ltd and Talisman Energy Inc are also expected to place bids. KrisEnergy, Talisman, Premier and PTT Exploration declined comment. Hess did not offer an immediate comment. Kuwait Petroleum was not available for comment.
Enel SpA To Sell Belgium Power Plant To Gazprom OAO-DJ
Dow Jones reported that Enel SpA will sign a non-binding memorandum to sell its Marcinelle power plant in Belgium to Russia's Gazprom OAO. The deal will be worth not less than EUR200 million ($265 million).
NK Lukoil OAO Buys 50% of Kalmtatneft from Tatneft' OAO-Interfax
Interfax reported that NK Lukoil OAO (Lukoil) has purchased a 50% stake in Kalmtatneft from Tatneft' OAO for $15 million, Lukoil President Mr. Vagit Alekperov told journalists on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Company now plans to drill a deep exploration well at a cost of roughly $50 million, he said. Lukoil is attracted to the project because infrastructure for its Filanovskoye field development in the Caspian runs through Kalmtatneft territory. Kalmtatneft produces oil, gas, associated components in Kalmykia. It holds an exploration and production license to the Tsekertinsky section in Kalmykia valid until January 31, 2027. Production at the field has not commenced.
Gazprom OAO's Subsidiary Completes Consolidation of 100% in Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO-Interfax
Interfax reported that Gazprom OAO has wrapped up the consolidation of 100% of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO, the general director of the Bashkortostan enterprise, Mr. Damir Shavaleyev, told Interfax on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO's main shareholder, wholly owned Gazprom OAO's subsidiary Gazprom Pererabotka LLC (Gazprom Pererabotka), informed company minority holders of a compulsory stock buy-up back in March. At the time, Gazprom Pererabotka held 97.86% of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO's stock. Shares were bought at RUB 5,385 apiece. Gazprom Pererabotka has spent about RUB 2.1 billion total completing the consolidation of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO.
Gazprom OAO Planning to Increase Stake in ArmRosgazprom to 100%
Gazprom OAO announced that a working meeting between Mr. Alexey Miller Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Mr. Armen Movsisyan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia was hosted on June 17. The parties addressed the main issues concerning the development of cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the gas sector, including Gazprom OAO's participation in energy projects in the Republic. In the course of negotiations the aspects of Russian gas pricing for Armenian consumers were discussed. The meeting also looked into the possibility of increasing Gazprom OAO's stake in ArmRosgazprom to 100%.
ANK Bashneft' OAO Buys 100% in Alternativa-PRIME
PRIME reported that ANK Bashneft' OAO (Bashneft) has closed a deal to buy 100% in Alternativa, the owner of a 12-gasoline-filling-station chain operating under Q&R brand in the Orenburg Region, the Company said in a statement. The value of the deal was not provided. The acquisition is part of Bashneft’s strategy aimed at expanding its own chain of filling stations in a number of regions. The share of the Q&R chain accounts for slightly over 1% on the local retail market, with all stations being located in localities of the Orenburg Region.
