Gazprom OAO to Build Four New Gas Distribution Stations in Samara Region-Interfax

Interfax reported that Gazprom OAO (Gazprom) plans to build four new gas distribution stations (GDS) in the Samara Region. The decision to include funding for the design and construction of these GDS in the gasification program for Russia's regions was made at a meeting between Gazprom CEO Mr. Alexei Miller and Samara Region Governor Mr. Nikolai Merkushkin. They also discussed the gasification of Samara Region, including Gazprom's comprehensive program to overhaul GDS in the region of operations of LLC Gazprom Transgaz Samara in the period to 2019. This program is now being reviewed by the regional government. Gazprom plans to start overhauling the Vintai-Samara gas pipeline, on which it plans to spend RUB 500 million this year, the Company said.

Novatek OAO Launches First Stage of Ust-Luga Complex

Novatek OAO announced the launch of the first stage of the Gas Condensate Fractionation and Transshipment Complex (the Ust-Luga Complex) located at the port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea. The first stage of the Ust-Luga Complex includes a stable gas condensate fractionation unit with nameplate capacity of three million tons per annum, 520,000 cubic meters of storage facilities for feedstock and products, a deep-water berth equipped with loading arms capable of loading tankers up to 120,000 deadweight tons, administrative buildings and living quarters, engineering systems and networks, and sewage treatment facilities. The second stage of the Ust-Luga Complex, which is currently under construction, includes another stable gas condensate fractionation unit with a nameplate capacity of three million tons. The second stage is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter 2013.

ONGC Videsh Ltd And Oil India Ltd To Buy Stake In Mozambique Gas Field For-INR140 Billion-Business Standard

Business Standard reported that ONGC Videsh Ltd and Oil India Ltd have agreed to buy a 10% stake in a Mozambique oil and gas field from Videocon Industries for about INR140.00 billion. The acquisition will be implemented through a new entity, in which ONGC Videsh and Oil India are expected to hold 60% and 40% stakes, respectively, said a statement from ONGC.

Gazprom OAO Creates Gazprom Invest LLC in St. Petersburg-Interfax

Interfax reported that Gazprom OAO has created a new company in St. Petersburg, Gazprom Invest LLC, which will serve as the unified executive body of CJSC Gazprom Invest Yug. The corporate procedure was reported by the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS), which approved the new company's formation. Gazprom's investment and construction departments were previously reported to be transferring to St. Petersburg. At one time, there was just one specialized ordering company in Gazprom OAO's structure: Yamalgazinvest. During the second phase of Gazprom OAO reform, Deputy CEO Mr. Alexander Ananenko proposed creation of several ordering companies: Gazprom Invest Zapad, Gazprom Invest Yug and Gazprom Invest Vostok.

Gazprom OAO and MND Group Embark on New UGS Facility Construction in Czech Republic-AK&M

AK&M reported that Gazprom OAO and MND Group have signed an agreement on the building of the underground gas storage (UGS) facility in Damborice, South Moravia, the Company informed. The project is assumed to be launched in 2014 and put in operation in 2016. The storage will keep 448 million cubic meters. The project will demand $128mln of investments at par.

Statoil ASA and BG Group PLC Plan East African Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal-Reuters

Reuters reported that following Statoil ASA's new find offshore Tanzania of 4 trillion-6 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas, the Company and Britain's BG Group PLV plan a USD 10 billion East African liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal for exports to Asia. To allow exports of the fuel there will be a need for plants to turn gas into freezing liquid for transport by ship to major markets.

Royal Dutch Shell PLC to Build LNG Terminals in Louisiana and Canada-DJ

Dow Jones reported that Royal Dutch Shell PLC is to build LNG terminals in Louisiana and Canada to produce liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel for heavy trucks and large vessels. The Company plans to install the liquefaction units at its Shell Geismar Chemicals facility in Geismar, Louisiana, in the United States and in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Both units will bring 0.25 million tons per annum.

Novatek OAO's and Total SA's Yamal SPG OAO Launches Subsidiary in Singapore-Interfax

Interfax reported that Yamal SPG OAO (OJSC Yamal LNG), the operator of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project on the Yamal peninsula, has registered in Singapore a subsidiary company Yamal Trade PTE, Ltd. The Yamal LNG project is being implemented at the Yuzhno-Tambeiskoye deposit. NOVATEK OAO has a 80% stake in OJSC Yamal LNG, and remaining 20% belongs to Total SA.
