China Southern Airlines Co Ltd - Communist Party expels China Southern Airlines chairman - EFEING

China Southern Airlines Co Ltd:China Southern Airlines chairman Si Xianmi has been expelled from the Communist Party of China, or CPC, and placed under judicial investigation on charges of corruption - EFEING.Si "violated frugality rules" by playing golf with public funds and accepting gifts, and also broke financial rules in his management of the airlines, said China's anti-corruption watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, or CCDI, in a statement Wednesday - EFEING.It added Si's son too, was involved in the case. The statement further says Si abused his post to benefit and help family members, in addition to accepting bribes - EFEING.The CCDI also accuses Si of interfering with the Commission's inspections and of withholding certain personal information from it. - EFEING.According to a new order passed by the CPC in October, party members, especially high-ranking ones, can be prosecuted for "extravagant" activities or habits such as playing golf, throwing lavish parties, or engaging in extramarital affairs. - EFEING.
