International Road Dynamics Inc receives C$5.1 million contract by California Department of Transportation

International Road Dynamics Inc:Says it received contract by California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to provide equipment maintenance, software maintenance, and on-call service for their statewide network of Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems at about 250 locations across state.This new service agreement extends from June 20, 2014 through June 19, 2017 with total value of C$5.1 mln.This new contract provides for maintenance of both Caltrans' commercial vehicle enforcement systems and traffic data collection systems.Commercial vehicle enforcement systems are used to screen trucks based on weights, dimensions, safety, and credentials.Traffic data collection systems provide 24-hour information at key locations on California highways.

International Road Dynamics Inc:Says it received C$1,650,000 contract from State of Idaho, Transportation Department (ITD) to supply and install an Electronic Pre-Clearance System for Huetter Port of Entry.Contract also includes two years of equipment, software, and database maintenance to commence upon completion of the installation.Project includes IRD's Integrated Electronic Mainline Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) Pre-Screening Solution with IRD's Intelligent Roadside Operations Computer (iROC) that will exchange information with the State's Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Network (CVISN).Vehicle information such as weight, dimensions, and identification is collected at highway speed and passed to IRD's iROC System to determine in real-time whether a truck is permitted to bypass a weigh station, or to notify the vehicle to report to the station for inspection.CVISN Program is key component of Federal Motor Carrier Administration's (FMCSA's) initiative to improve commercial vehicle efficiency, compliance and safety.

Atlantia SpA:Says that the Santiago Centro Oriente programme is effective, programme originally agreed in preliminary form by the grantor and the operator, Costanera Norte, on April 24, 2012.Says the programme covers seven upgrade projects designed to eliminate the principal bottlenecks on the motorway, following traffic growth in recent years.Says work on the first three projects, already pre-approved, began in Feb. 2013.Says investments total about 320 mln euros and their remuneration is guaranteed in the relevant agreement, also via the installation of new toll gantries.Says Costanera Norte holds the concession for 42.5 km of urban motorway within the city of Santiago de Chile, which has a growing population of over 6 mln.Says Atlantia controls Costanera Norte through the holding company Grupo Costanera, in which it holds a 50.01 pct interest.Says the remaining 49.99 pct is owned by CPPIB, a Canadian pension fund.Says Grupo Costanera operates a total of around 100 km of urban motorway in Santiago, of which about 80 km equipped with a free-flow tolling system.
