Galp Energia SGPS SA announces confirmation of discovery of oil in the deepwaters of the Potiguar basin

Galp Energia SGPS SA:Informs about the results obtained during the drilling of the Pitu North extension well which confirmed the discovery of oil in Pitu area (Block BM-POT-17) in the deepwaters of the Potiguar basin.The discovery of oil in Pitu was initially communicated to the market on Dec. 17, 2013.The well 3-BRSA-1317-RNS, informally known as Pitu North, is the first well located within the Evaluation Plan of Pitu, approximately 60 km from the coast of Rio Grande do Norte state, and at a water depth of 1,844 m, with total depth of 4,200 m.Galp Energia, through its subsidiary Petrogal Brasil, owns a 20 percent stake in the consortium that explores Block BMPOT-17, with the remaining stakes being held by the operator Petrobras (40 percent) and BP (40 percent).

Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA:Announces the discovery of a new oil and gas accumulation in the Amazon Basin, Block AM-T-84.The discovery was made while drilling well 1-BRSA-1293-AM (ANP nomenclature), informally known as Jusante do Aneba.Well drilling reached the total depth of 2,040 meters.Petrobras is the operator of the concession (60 pct), in partnership with Petrogal Brasil (40 pct), subsidiary of Galp Energia SGPS.

Galp Energia SGPS SA:Announces that, as partner in the consortium for development of Block BM-S-11, the operator Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras), has submitted the declaration of commercial feasibility (DoC) for the oil and gas accumulations in the Iara and Entorno de Iara areas.Doc submitted to Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).In accordance with the Brazilian regulation, the Development Plan submission to ANP of the three accumulations should take place within 180 days from DoC.Galp Energia, through its subsidiary Petrogal Brasil, owns a 10 pct stake in the consortium that explores BM-S-11, which includes Iara area, while Petrobras (operator) holds a 65 pct stake and the BG Group 25 pct.

Gazprom neftekhim Salavat OAO:Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat (GNS) has begun producing PSM-E polystyrene for use in making extruded polystyrene heat-insulating tiles, a company representative told Interfax-Interfax.The polystyrene is manufactured under technical standards that enable domestic companies to manufacture expanded polystyrene products, the spokesman said. GNS has not previously manufactured this grade of polystyrene. "."The new polystyrene is being manufactured under the import substitution program. Russian customers previously had to import it," the spokesman said.Production takes place at the Monomer facility, whose two technological lines have total capacity to produce 70 tonnes of the high-impact polystyrene a day.The finished product is polystyrene in transparent, cylindrical granules, which can be reprocessed into products for households, the construction industry and the medical sector.
