MarkWest Energy Partners LP:Says expansion of rich gas processing capacity in the Marcellus Shale.The Partnership will continue developing its presence in America's most productive natural gas resource play with the addition of two new cryogenic processing plants at its Sherwood complex in Doddridge County, West Virginia and its Mobley Complex in Wetzel County, West Virginia.At the Sherwood complex, MarkWest will construct an additional 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) processing plant at the request of Antero Resources Corporation.The new plant is anchored by a long-term, fee-based contract and will expand total capacity at the Sherwood complex to 1.2 billion cubic feet (Bcf/d) by the second quarter of 2015.

Royal Dutch Shell PLC:Announces exploration discovery offshore Malaysia.The Rosmari-1 well is located 135 kilometres offshore in Block SK318, and was drilled to a total depth of 2,123 metres.The well encountered more than 450 metres of gas column.With further exploration planned, the finding is a positive indicator of the gas potential in an area of strategic interest for Shell.

Galp Energia SGPS SA:Says it concluded the drilling of the exploration well 1-BRS-A-1025-RNS (1-RNS-158), informally known as Pitu, located in the offshore of Potiguar basin, in Brazil.Results proved the discovery, already announced on Dec. 17, 2013, of oil in deepwaters of that basin.Well is located about 55 kilometers off the coast of Rio Grande do Norte state, at a water depth of 1,731 meters.Well reached the final depth of 5,353 meters and found an hydrocarbon column of 188 meters.Formation test was also performed, which confirmed the good permeability and porosity conditions of the reservoir.In the Potiguar basin, Galp Energia holds a 20 percent stake in the consortium that explores BM-POT-17, through its subsidiary Petrogal Brasil, whereas Petrobras, the operator, holds the remaining stake of 80 percent.Following the ongoing farm-out process between Petrobras and BP Energy do Brasil, and after the approval by ANP, BP Energy do Brasil will hold a 40 percent stake, and Petrobras will hold a 40 percent stake and will continue to be the operator of the block.In the consortium that explores BM-POT-16 in the same basin, Galp Energia holds a 20 percent stake, while Petrobras, the operator, holds a 60 percent stake and IBV holds the remaining 20 percent stake.Additionally, Galp Energia has acquired a 20 percent stake in the POT-M-764 license in this basin.

Repsol SA starts up gas well in Bolivia

Repsol SA:Says it has begun production at the Margarita 6 well in the south of Bolivia.Says this well belongs to the second phase of Margarita-Huacaya, one of the ten key projects of Repsol's 2012-2016 Strategic Plan.Says Margarita 6 is the second of four wells that Repsol will drill during the second phase of the Margarita-Huacaya project.Says drilling commenced in Apr. 2012 and ended on Oct. 5, at a total cost of $74.5 million.Says it is continuing the development of phase II of the project, in which two new wells will be drilled, Margarita 7 and Margarita 8, with 2D and 3D seismic, with which the company expects to reach depths of 4,350 and 4,500 metres respectively in 2014.Says the Caipipendi Consortium in charge of the project is operated by Repsol with a 37.5 percent stake.Says the company is partnered by BG (37.5 percent) and PAE E&P (25 percent).
