Walker Greenbank plc Launches Scion Brand to Target New Market Segment
Walker Greenbank plc announced that it has launch Scion, a new interiors brand created in-house and designed to complement the Company's existing brands. Scion is a young, contemporary interiors brand aimed at aspirational and fashion aware customers. Its products, which are designed to be accessibly priced, are targeted at a subsector of the interior furnishings market in which Walker Greenbank is not currently represented. The brand name Scion has been inspired by the dictionary definition of scion as a young shoot or twig or a descendant of a notable family, evoking the brand's freshness and design provenance. Scion's printed fabrics will range from £25 a metre and its wallpapers from £30 a roll, all of which will be manufactured within the Company's own factories in the UK. The brand's first collection, Melinki, is being launched this week and combines an eclectic mix of printed fabrics, embroideries, jacquards, plains and wallpapers. The Melinki collection is being previewed for invited trade customers and press on 29th February and 1st March 2012 at the Music Room, South Molton Lane, London.
