Hotel Grand Central Ltd announced that the Company has awarded the main contract (subject to final Bill of Quantities) for the demolition of the existing ageing hotel located at 22 Cavenagh Road, Singapore 22961, piling work and construction of two new 10-storey hotels of 264 rooms and 488 rooms each to Sato Kogyo (S) Pte Ltd for the contract sum totalling SGD101,380,000. The total cost of the Re-development (including consultant fees, financing costs and interior works) is estimated to be approximately SGD130 million. The Company will finance the Re-development cost via bank borrowings and internal funds.

Snoozebox Holdings PLC announced that it has signed a contract with G4S for the provision of 320 rooms on a site within Hainault Forest Country Park in Essex, as accommodation for security personnel engaged at the Olympics. The accommodation provided will be operational between July 14, 2012 and August 15, 2012 and will include a social and relaxation area, with full catering facilities provided by an independent third party. Snoozebox created the overall project at Hainault, which includes the separate provision of additional accommodation of a different style, also by Elements Europe Ltd, who are the manufacturers of the Snoozebox portable hotel product.

BHG SA - Brazil Hospitality Group announced that it has signed and agreement for the administration of Hotel Presidente in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The Company will assume the operation of the hotel as of May 22, 2012. The hotel has a three star standard and is located 7.5 kilometers from the airport. It has 125 apartments and a meeting structure of two rooms for up to eight people each, as well as a room for up to 100 people.

Hotel Corp (The) Plc announced that its 49.9%-owned Puma Hotels plc (Puma Hotels), owner of 20 four-star hotels across the UK. The hotels are leased to various UK subsidiary undertakings (together the BCE Entities) of Barcelo Corporacion Empresarial SA (BCE), a Spanish hotel operator with global operations, and carry the Barcelo brand. Further to the announcement dated 16 December 2011, the directors of Puma Hotels have informed the Company that Puma Hotels has signed a further agreement with BCE extending the expiry of the standstill arrangements from 24 February 2012 to 24 March 2012. This extension to the standstill agreement states that BCE will on or before 25 February 2012, pay or procure payment by the BCE Entities to Puma Hotels of £2.25m plus VAT in part payment of the rents and VAT that would be payable from 25 February 2012 to 24 March 2012. The part payment is in consideration of Puma Hotels agreeing that it will not take any action before 25 March 2012 against the BCE entities in relation to non-payment of the full rents due for the period under any of the Leases. The standstill agreement is expressly without prejudice to any other rights that Puma Hotels may have against BCE or the BCE Entities, including (without limitation) in relation to the unpaid sums due under the Leases. A further announcement will be made in due course.

BHG SA - Brazil Hospitality Group to Administrate Eight Hotels

BHG SA - Brazil Hospitality Group announced that it has signed a contract for administration of Grupo Solare (Solare) hotels. The Company is to start operation as of April 1, 2012, maintaining Solare’s structure and operational base. The contract enables the Company to enter with operations into Maranhao state, Brazil. In result, it will administrate eight hotels totaling 1,100 rooms. Solare currently manages seven hotels in Sao Luis in the budget class (Soft Inn), economic class (Expresso XXI) and midscale (Solare Hoteis e Suites), totaling 858 rooms. Moreover, it administrates a luxury hotel Gran Solare Lencois Resort with 242 rooms in the city of Barreirinhas.
