Alma Media Oyj's Kauppalehti Launches News Stream Application
Alma Media Oyj announced that Kauppalehti, part of the Alma Media Group, will publish a new application for mobile browsing of the Kauppalehti online service. The new news stream application allows viewers to follow news provided by the Kauppalehti online service on any smartphone with a touch screen, regardless of the phone's make or operating system. The application brings the main news and stock exchange information of Kauppalehti website to the reader, as well as company, vehicle and Own Money news. The news stream application is Kauppalehti's first device-independent mobile application. Digital replicas of Kauppalehti are available for Apple's iPad and iPhone, as well as tablets and smartphones using the Android operating system.
Alma Media Oyj Launches KIVI Real Estate Agency System
Alma Media Oyj announced that Etuovi.com online service, part of Alma Media Group, has developed the KIVI real estate agency system. The system enables the electronic signing of real estate brokerage contracts. The possibility to sign contracts electronically introduces a quick and flexible option to consumers for starting to sell their homes. The electronic signature is implemented paying particular attention to European Union's directive on e-commerce. According to the Good Real Estate Brokerage Practice, contract details cannot be altered by either party alone after the contract has been signed. The electronic signing possibility has been in use for the estate brokerage professionals using the Iso-KIVI version of the KIVI system since April 2012. The system is being used by hundreds of real estate agencies with a daily user base of approximately 1,500 agents.
Roularta Media Group NV to Replace Gentelman Magazine with The Good Life and Trends Style
Roularta Media Group NV announced that the Company is replacing the bimonthly “Gentleman” magazine with new initiatives: the Dutch-language edition of “The Good Life” magazine, which has just been launched in France (four issues in 2012), and Trends Style (six issues in 2012). “Trends Style” is a new lifestyle magazine in the same format as Trends/Tendances. The title used to be published in the Nineties, but then became a column in the weekly Trends/Tendances magazine. The column in question will not disappear, but, six times a year, the reader will receive a magazine along with the Trends package, highlighting the latest trends in the worlds of fashion, design, accessories, watches, etc. “Trends Style” will go out with the complete circulation of Trends (Fr/Dutch), and will be some 68 to 100 pages long. Roularta Custom Media is responsible for production and the first edition of Trends Style comes out on February 23, 2012.

The New York Times Company Launches India Ink
The New York Times Company announced the launch of India Ink, an English-language Web site offering news and analysis about Indian politics, culture, business, sports and lifestyle. The site, nytimes.com/indiaink, provides a distinct perspective on the news and events that matter most to Indians and those who follow news about India, both on the subcontinent and abroad. Initially, access to India Ink will be exempt from The New York Times’s digital subscription packages. India Ink is edited by The New York Times in India and the International Herald Tribune (IHT) in Hong Kong, led by lead writer Heather Timmons, who has covered business in India for The New York Times for the last four years.
