Jan 31 - Egyptians and others worldwide rally in support of anti-government protests in Cairo. Julie Noce reports.

Shots ring out in Cairo ... as Egyptian protesters were camped out in the city center vowing to stay until they had toppled President Hosni Mubarak Over the weekend, rallies to support Egyptians sprang up around the world... Protesters in Istanbul gather in front of the Egyptian consulate in Turkey to show their support. (SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) PROTESTER, CUNEYT CAN SAYING: "We are here for the freedom of the people. We are here for the people to live freely. We are here to end dictatorships in this century and to support the people." In Lebanon, dozens of Egyptians demonstrate in Beirut... demanding the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak and an end to his 30 year autocratic rule. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) EGYPTIAN CITIZEN MOHAMMED SAYING: "We are demanding that Hosni Mubarak leaves. Thirty years of oppression is enough. He should leave the country. We don't want him to form a government or do anything."
