Rebels on the road to Ras Lanuf. Gunfire can be heard as anti Gaddafi forces in Libya prepare to move into Ras Lanuf -- a key oil region. Vowing victory or death -- about two dozen armed rebels pledge to take over Ras Lanuf after Gaddafi forces were driven back to the port earlier in the week. Later Rebels tell a Reuters witness that they had taken control of the airport in the key eastern oil town. Pro Gaddafi air attacks have failed to stop the rebels using the coast road to push through the oil rich region. The popular uprising against Gaddafi, the bloodiest yet against a long-serving ruler in the Arab world, has knocked out nearly 50 percent of the Libya's oil output, the bedrock of its economy. Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters.
