Newly-released footage shows smoke billowing from New York's twin towers on September 11, 2001. This video -- shot from an NYPD helicopter as it circled the World Trade Center -- appeared on the internet Monday. After a Freedom of Information Act request to the New York Police Department the video was obtained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The almost 17-minute video doesn't show the collapse of the first tower, but it does provide an audio recording of the officers' reactions. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED OFFICER, SAYING: "It's gone. The whole tower. It's gone. Holy Crap. They knocked the whole freaking thing down." (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED OFFICER, SAYING: "It's down. The second tower is down. Holy. God. Damn. My God." September 11, 2011, will mark the tenth anniversary of the attack that killed almost three thousand people. Travis Brecher, Reuters
