Traffic cameras capture the moment a tremor struck Yingjiang county on Thursday in the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan. The number of people killed in the China earthquake has risen to at least 25, with another 250 injured -- 134 of them in serious condition. The quake has toppled over a thousand homes, and has left nearly 5000 badly damaged. Hundreds of soldiers have been mobilized to help with the rescue operation and disaster relief work, and medical teams are working around the clock to treat the injured. The 5.8 magnitude quake hit at 12:58 local time on Thursday, and local news reports say the epicenter -- with a depth of 10 kilometers -- lay just two kilometers from China's Yingjiang county seat. The county sits on an earthquake-prone belt which has seen around 1,200 minor tremors over the past two month. Travis Brecher, Reuters
