Eva Mendes dazzled on the red carpet in a crimson number as she premiered her latest movie "Last Night" at the Tribeca Film Festival. The movie takes a new look at the age-old question of fidelity and commitment and stars a young and beautiful cast including Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington and French actor Guillaume Canet. Wearing a trendy 70s-influenced scarlet frock, Mendes talked about working with first-time filmmaker Massy Tadjedin, who Mendes said brought a fresh female perspective to an otherwise male dominated role. SOUNDBITE: Eva Mendes, Actress, saying (English): "She brings in this really interesting subtle look at intimate relationships that I think if directed by a man certain subtleties wouldn't be picked up." Tadjedin and Griffin Dunne, who also stars in the movie, was also at the premiere. The director talked about how the storyline caused a divide among the team. SOUNDBITE: (English) Massy Tadjedin, Director, saying: "I was lucky enough that the crew did read the script which was great. I think probably what happened was once we started to film we started to have an engagement among the crew with who was kind of doing what to the marriage and who's actions or transgression were worse. And so kind of this debate was just born on set and it was definitely divisive among the crew." The film will be released in U.S. theaters on May 6. Cindy Martin, Reuters
