Apr 26 - Space shuttle Endeavour astronauts arrived at Cape Canaveral, Florida on Tuesday to make final preparations before Friday's scheduled afternoon launch. Jon Decker reports.

Space shuttle Endeavour astronauts arrived at Cape Canaveral, Florida on Tuesday to make final preparations before Friday's scheduled afternoon launch from the Kennedy Space Center. The all-veteran crew is led by Mark Kelly, husband of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who is recovering from a January 8th assasination attempt in which she was shot in the head. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MARK KELLY, SHUTTLE COMMANDER, SAYING: "I'm personally looking forward to my wife Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords getting here pretty soon to be here in time for our launch on Friday. It's something she's been looking forward to for a long time. She's been working really hard to make sure that her doctors would permit here to come and she's more than medically ready to be here and she's excited about making this trip." Also planning to be be at Endeavour's liftoff-- President Barack Obama. Endeavour-- in a 16-day mission -- will deliver a new class of physics instruments to the International Space Station on NASA's next-to-last shuttle flight. Jon Decker, Reuters.
