Apr 28 - Deadly tornadoes and storms hit Alabama as severe weather lashed southeastern US, leaving a trail of destruction. Marie-Claire Fennessy reports

45 people have been killed in tornadoes and storms that swept across some Obama leaving a trail of destruction. The storms are part of this series that struck a -- six states over the last few days at least 66 people were killed. US president Barack Obama declared a state of emergency for Alabama ordering federal aid to stricken states. -- Obama's governors said this outbreak of tornadoes wasn't usual. They're very few times in my lifetime and in your lifetime that you could remember an outbreak of tornadoes long track tornadoes like we're having right now at this present time. So that today it has been a very. Serious and deadly event that's affected our state and it's not over yet. Two weeks ago at least 47 people died just storms -- white pass from Oklahoma to North Carolina. America -- bleachers.
