May 12 - An earthquake in southeastern Spain kills 10 and causes significant damage to ancient building and structures. Julie Noce reports.

Wednesday's 5.3 earthquake in Lorca and Murcia brought down ancient buildings and structures... and caused the deaths of at least ten people. Dozens others were injured as rubble fell from buildings, flattening cars. People, shocked and terrified, gathered outdoors. A lighter tremor struck before the second more powerful quake... Residents describe their horror. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN SAYING: "We don't even have water, I just have my dog. And we don't even know if we can go back in the house. It's a disaster." Patients, including newborn babies, were evacuated from a hospital after portions of the roof caved in. Officials say the government has mobilised a task force to help the some 10-thousand people affected by the quake. Julie Noce, Reuters
