The sound of gun fire on the streets of Madaya, Syria.
Amateur video which could not be independently verified by Reuters shows people running under fire.
A man can be heard saying "They are firing at the people. They killed the people, the unarmed people."
Another video purportedly from Homs shows women marching in the streets calling for protection for their village.
A posting from Tel Kelakh, shows empty streets amid the sound of gunfire.
Another clip from the village shows men running for cover. Activists, who are in contact with residents, say Syrian troops and gunmen had entered the border town prompting dozens to flee into Lebanon.
And yet the demonstrations go on.
Authorities say President Bashar al-Assad's intends to launch national dialogue talks, a gesture rejected by the opposition who say security forces must first stop shooting protesters.
