Running battles on the streets of Chile as students once again clash with police. Around 2000 students join a protest in Santiago demanding more funding for public universities - marching from the University of Santiago towards the Ministry of Education. But the protest turns violent as police use water cannons to disperse the crowd - and students fire back with rocks and other missiles. Several students are taken into police custody during the clashes. The protest is the latest in a series of demonstrations by students demanding better public education - and more guarantees for technical high school students. Sunita Rappai
