Syrian refugees walk through a make shift camp as they await the opportunity to cross over to Turkey. They hope to flee the violence. A solider tells Turkish TV that he was under orders to fire at demonstrators, and not just from Syrian forces. SOUNDBITE: Syrian Tharwat Arafat Haidar, saying (English): "I saw Iranians and Hezbollah members also giving us orders to shoot, and those who did not obey were shot immediately in the back. All the soldiers who were killed were hit in the back or in the neck. We used to try to fire in the air so not to kill protesters. Five of my colleagues refused to shoot totally. They were hit in the back and killed." More than 4,000 Syrians have fled to Turkey to escape a crackdown on protests against President Bashar al-Assad and thousands more are sheltering near the border. Fearing revenge from security forces for clashes in which authorities said 120 troops were killed , refugees streamed out of the northern town of Jisr al-Shughour ahead of a military operation launched by Syrian forces.
