June 26 - At least four police officers are wounded in blast in eastern Pakistan. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

Bomb blast in Pakistan. At least four policemen are wounded after a bomb planted on a stationary motorcycle exploded just outside a police station in Pakistan's eastern city of Multan. The attack comes as Pakistani militants have stepped up violence since the death of Osama bin Laden. Multan police chief, Amir Zulfiqar. SOUNDBITE: Multan police chief, Amir Zulfiqar, saying (Urdu): "The bomb was planted on a motorcycle. It exploded resulting in the collapse of the back wall of our police station. Three of our policemen have been wounded, but, thank God, their condition is so far stable." The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. On Saturday at least five police officers were killed in an attack in a small town close to the volatile tribal region of South Waziristan. Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters
