July 13 - Former first Lady Betty Ford remembered for her candor and courage at a memorial service attended by US First Lady Michelle Obama among others. Marie-Claire Fennessy reports

Listing these trees and former point towns residents were among many -- gathered to remember former First Lady Betty -- at a church service in California. US First Lady Michelle Obama and former president George W Bush's secretary of state Hillary Clinton. We're among thousands who attended the memorial service to pay tribute to the inspiring woman. Betty Ford has one stop the fighting lady by time magazine -- her outspoken political views. Overcoming -- -- alcohol and prescription drug addiction she helped found that they support center in 1982. -- also be remembered for her work and raising awareness about breast cancer. Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter touched upon her friends -- can see. Someone who had the courage and grace to fight fear and stigma and prejudice where -- -- in candidate. And today it's almost impossible to imagine a time when people were afraid to revealed they had cancer. As we speak publicly about personal struggle struggled -- alcohol addiction.
