July 18 - Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh calls for national dialogue in a pro-government newspaper, but protesters continue to call for him to step down. Jessica Gray reports.

Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh makes headlines again, this time calling for a national dialogue. He invited protesters to join government officials to create a new Yemen in a story published by a pro-government newspaper. But few at this demonstration in Sanaa want to see Saleh stay in power. SOUNDBITE(Arabic) YAHIA AL HAROBY, PROTESTER "This is an invitation from a person who has already expired and we don't accept any negotiation with him and we don't accept any solution that doesn't give the revolution it's complete rights after the sacrifices we have made." Saleh has gone back and forth on a deal to step down that is supported by the U.S. and Gulf states. People fear his attempts to holds on to office will drive further unrest and demonstrations.
