The Venice film festival lineup gets praise from jury members. Director Darren Aronofsky leads the festival jury for the 68th annual event. During a press conference the American filmmaker called the lineup exciting. SOUNDBITE: Darren Aronofsky, head of jury of Venice film festival 2011, saying (English): "To actually have to watch every one of those movies is a great privilege and a thrill. I have done a few other jury and there is always a few films that you are not looking forward to but I am pretty excited by the line-up this year. So I am really thankful to Marco and his team for collecting such a great selection of movies." Joining the "Black Swan" director on the panel is U.S. filmmaker Todd Haynes and musician David Byrne - who expressed some of the difficulties of being a jury member. SOUNDBITE: David Byrne, member of jury Venice film festival 2011, saying (English): "I think as Darren said, the challenge is to go in with an open mind and not be affected because you think this is going to be very popular or because it has big name actors and not be prejudiced against that for any reason, for something that might not be that well known, not being prejudiced for or against that, either. Just take everything in." The Venice film festival ends on September 10th. Alicia Powell, Reuters.
