Amateur video out of Syria shows a funeral service in a suburb of Damascus. The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters, shows mourners crowding the streets, calling for freedom. On Sunday in Cairo the Arab league said its chief may visit Syria this week to voice concerns about the violence under President Bashar al-Assad's rule. More footage purportedly shows funeral services in another suburb of Damascus. Mourners in the procession can be heard saying "Syrians raise your hands, Bashar we don't want you." Nighttime footage from Eastern Syria shows a picture of a protester whom residents say was killed by Syrian forces. More nighttime footage from Homs where people are chanting for the end of the regime. The United Nations says at least 2,200 protesters have been killed in Syria since the uprising began in march. On Friday the European Union banned Syrian oil imports in a move to strengthen economic pressure on Assad and his government. Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters
