PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL More than 100 people have died in southern China after torrential rains caused massive flooding and landslides in the region. Local TV showed school children wading home in knee high water-- while others did their best to drive-- or pedel-- through the flooded streets. Government officials say floods across 13 provinces have damaged thousands of hectares of crops-- and landslides and mud have damaged hundreds of homes and buildings. The Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs and the National Disaster Reduction Commission have launched an emergency response to the disasters. So far, more than 3000 people have been relocated as weather forcasters warn the rains are likely to continue. Julie Noce, Reuters
