Jury selection has resumed in the involuntary manslaughter trial against Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray. Bailiffs brought in more than 90 prospective jurors into a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday (September 23) for questioning. Opening statements in the trial are scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 27. Elton John is in talks to make a film about his life, according to his spokesperson. The film will reportedly be called "Rocketman" and will be produced by John's partner David Furnish. So far no one has been been singled out to play the lead in the movie, although the Sun tabloid said Scottish actor James McAvoy had been tipped for the role. Lady Gaga wants to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama about her concerns over bullying. Gaga expressed sadness over Twitter about the suicide death of a 14-year-old New York boy who had complained about being bullied over his sexuality. The pop singer tweeted: "I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end." A Democratic official said Gaga plans to attend an Obama fundraiser next week but no private meeting has been scheduled. Finally, the Michael Jackson tribute concert has lined up two more acts. The Black Eyed Peas have signed on to perform, as has Jennifer Hudson. They will join already confirmed acts Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green at the show scheduled for October 08 in Wales.
